Seem to remember that when I first ate at the wonderful Half Shell, Viceroy’s gem of a restaurant on Barnes Bay, I requested that Charles, thier executive sous-chef, think about adding a Baklava dessert to the menu. It’s one of my favourite pasties, combining filo pastry, pistachios, honey, and other wonderful ingredients. I thought my wishes had gone unfulfilled, until I was emailed last week to let me know it has now arrived. Sheer perfection…….
