I’ve been SO fortunate this week to have my brother and sister-in-law treat me to some fabulous meals out and about. Last night was our last evening together till next year, and what better way to toast the evening than the gold standard of dinner – Blanchards Restaurant. Perfect as always, I started with the shrimp and lobster cakes, served with a perfect small salad and a hone-made tartar sauce, then enjoyed Mel’s famous Cioppino, a traditional seafood stew, with shrimp, scallops, mussels and fresh mahi mahi. It’s cooked in an absolutely addictive tomato sauce, served over a small bed of linguini with garlic bread. We ACTUALLY were too full for dessert, which at Blanchards, is unheard of. Oh well, next time!
