Jo-Anne Mason – new work

masonJo-Anne Mason, the multi-talented artist of the gallery, has been spending a great deal of time in St. Kitts and Nevis lately, and while missing her painting studio here on Anguilla, has created some astounding work in thread, which she calls her tapestries.  Remarkable in every way, this landscape, “Fade to Black” just came into the gallery yesterday.  Jo-Anne says the following of the work: “Different times and circumstances lead to new ideas.  Other artists also inspire.  I saw a cloth artist and that was the start.  Next…a way to create in less than perfect conditions.  I always say necessity is a mother.  A bit of thread and an idea lead to new ways to look at life”
