I think I’m like every art dealer there is - unwrapping new works is like opening up wonderful surprise packages
. Today was no different. Marjorie Morani sent down two new paintings, and I love them. Morani, along with Jo-Anne Mason, were among the first artists I met in Anguilla when I arrived, those many years ago! She’s a great lady, and a very fine artist. Marj works with oils and a pallete knife, which gives the surface of her paintings a beautiful lushness. These two works have a nice provenace as well – they were both exhibited in the exhibition “Oceans” at the Chester River Artworks (Artworks) in Chestertown, Maryland.
