30 x 45″

Traditionally, the work shown by Workman has been gyotaku, or fish rubbings. Melusina is a figure of European folklore, a female spirit of fresh water, much like a mermaid. For this painting, the artist created a rubbing of her friend’ torso, then added all the elements of her traditional work.
