Savannah Gallery had its first exhibition of the St. Martin-based artist Paul Elliott Thuleau in 2003. I continue to enjoy working with this very fine artist, and continue to appreciate the evolving high quality of his work. I call them “architectural portraits”.
BDAF bank, the largest French bank in the French Antilles and French Guyana, has just restored an important painting by the French artist Georges Rohner (1913 – 2000) – a painting that the bank purchased in l936. This curated exhibition shows the work of one important figurative painter from each of the French territories, with Thuleau representing St. Martin.
